INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

Fountain of Living water (FLW) an NGO based in New Jersey, USA have made several on site visits to UBTH and trained paramedic students based on the courses they are being taught in their respective levels. Such courses include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), amongst others. The UBTH Paramedic programme partners with Fountain of Living Water, Bergen County EMS and Professor Bryan Bledsoe a paramedic and professor of Emergency Medicine at Nevada School of Medicine. This has led to the donation of mannequins, textbooks and several other training equipment to the UBTH paramedic programme. The partnership has also enabled some Paramedics trained in UBTH travel to the United States of America (USA) for on site training in more advanced paramedic care and after which, returns to impact the knowledge and skills acquired.
